Our destination of Lord Howe Island lies roughly 700km northeast of Sydney and is surrounded by the beautifully wild waters of the Pacific Ocean. The island itself is roughly 10km long and has an area of roughly 14.5 square km, but we’re making the voyage to the Tasman Sea for the treasures that Lord Howe is hiding beneath the waves. Like the 490 recorded fish species, and the 13 fish species that live only around Lord Howe Island.
This season, we’re particularly excited about exploring the ocean at night. Our trusty boat, the Sylfia, has had new Lumitec Marine LED lights installed in her hull and they’re going to up our night snorkeling and night diving games in BIG ways.
